4.9 (412 reviews) 10 packages From $549

The Annapurna region holds more of Nepal's best-known trails than anywhere else in the country, and more variety. In a single massif you have the Annapurna Sanctuary — a glacial amphitheatre entered through one narrow gorge — the fifteen-day Circuit over Thorong La at 5,416m, the easy sunrise balcony of Poon Hill, and high forested ridges like Mardi Himal and Khopra Danda that break 4,000m in under a week.

It is also the most accessible region. Almost every route starts from Pokhara, a short flight or a scenic drive from Kathmandu, with no weather-dependent mountain airstrip in the way. Teahouses are well-established, the trails pass through Gurung and Magar villages, and the rhododendron forests between Ulleri and Tadapani are among the densest in Nepal.

All Annapurna routes need an ACAP permit and a TIMS card — both included in our package prices and arranged before you leave Kathmandu or Pokhara.
